Terms of use

Owl Nest is a personal, non-commercial thermostat monitoring project used by its owner. This website explains the project; it does not provide a public account service.

Purpose

The software reads thermostat telemetry with the owner's Google/Nest authorization for private observation and historical analysis. It is not an emergency monitoring, HVAC safety, or home-security service.

Availability

The software and information are provided for personal use, as available, without a guarantee of continuous operation or uninterrupted Google/Nest API access. Always use the official thermostat or Nest application for critical controls.

Third-party services

Google, Nest, and Cloudflare are independent service providers with their own terms and policies. Owl Nest is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Privacy

See the Owl Nest privacy policy for the data-access and local storage practices of this integration.
